Kindle advice for newbie
Hi everyone! I’m new to Reddit and these communities. I came on here because I recently was handed down this kindle from a friend who upgraded and although I’m super thankful to be able to read digitally… this kindle BLOWS😭 so I’m in the market to purchase a new one. There is absolutely no backlighting but I’m aware it’s because it’s a really old model. Basically I’m just on here wondering with experience which is your favorite kindle and which would u recommend to me? I really don’t wanna spend that much money because I’m not really a bookworm. I’m trying to get into reading a lot more and I have really been enjoying it but a lot of times I wanna read at night and because this Kindle has no back lighting I have to read with the lights on And it hurts my eyes. I also wanted to ask if anybody had any experience with buying used kindles from unclaimed baggage. I read an article that compared the paperwhite and the basic Kindle and it really didn’t seem like there was much of a difference between the two, besides the warm lighting option and That one of the screens lays flat and the other one has a slight indentation with the framing. I’m open to hearing anybody’s experiences and advice and thank you so much in advance!!!💗💗 also I just started reading the housemaid series and I’m hooked!
